Who will start for Manchester City up front this season?
Manuel Pelligrini
Manuel Pellegrini has shaken up his pack ahead of the upcoming season, and two of the four players that the new man has signed for Manchester City are international-standard centre forwards. With Stevan Jovetic and Alvaro Negredo complementing existing attackers Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero, the competition for places in attack is set to be fierce this season at the Etihad Stadium.

With the transfer sagas surrounding Wayne Rooney, Luis Suarez and Gareth Bale taking precedence this silly season, City have gone about their business quietly and effectively. This is shown in a recent article by Ladbrokes that has highlighted the most talked about transfer targets this summer. New City winger Jesus Navas enters the list at number nine, but Jovetic and Negredo have flown under the radar somewhat.

Looking at Pellegrini’s options in attack, it appears that the new coach will have real difficulty in deciding upon his favoured strike pairing. Dzeko appears to have impressed his new boss, and looks likely to get the nod as the furthest man forward. The Bosnian targetman has been in and out of the City side since signing on at the Etihad Stadium, and will look to finally get a consistent run in the team.

Dzeko’s main competition will be Negredo, who similarly is an out-and-out centre forward. The Spaniard has earned his move to a big club through consistently hitting the back of the net for Sevilla, but his addition raised a few eyebrows – many expected City to target the likes of Edinson Cavani, Radamel Falcao or Robert Lewandowski instead. That said, Negredo is very capable of being a real goalscoring threat if given time on the park.

The second striker role will be contested between Sergio Aguero and Stevan Jovetic. It is hard to imagine any team in the world leaving the Argentine out of their side if he is available and fit, and Aguero will be the frontrunner for inclusion. Jovetic is a mercurial talent, but much will depend on how quickly he can adjust to the style of play in the Premier League and get used to his new surrounds. If he hits the ground running, he could be a real star in City’s title challenge. All-in-all, City are no weaker for Carlos Tevez or Mario Balotelli leaving, and Manuel Pellegrini has four top-quality forwards to choose from this term.

With Aguero,Tevez and Dzeko standing in his way, he’ll be wanimrg the bench with Nasri and Sinclair next season if he decides to join Man City. No he won't. Firstly, Dzeko has one foot out the door. Secondly, the club is desperately trying to sell Tevez to Monaco. And lastly, City are desperate for an extra source of creativity who has genuine quality (unlike Sinclair) and Jovetic can play anywhere across the front line. Oh, and Nasri isn't a bench warmer, one of football's great myths. He has about the 6th or 7th most minutes of any City player.

In Torres, Lukaku and Ba, we have good strikers. Torres is conimg near his best, Lukaku is a Drogba-type striker in strenght and hold up play and Ba can act as cover for the two. So let us put our faith in them until at least the january transfer window. Am delighted we sign marl swarzher on free transfer from fulham, decent and proven shot stoper, can act as cover for Cech this season while courtous returns next season challenge for no1 spot. Up blues. http://icrusgvfuzk.com hdjwybi [link=http://oauhyz.com]oauhyz[/link]

No!!! And no Suarez, no Rooney!!! Schwartzer was a great siging. Don't need Ruddy, Courtois back next sesaon and WILL claim No.1 from Cech. Well played. Norwich must be kicking themselves for not accepting our first offers. Finally, Chelsea board are thinking about the future of our amazing club!!!

Maybe it was his wife who didn't like Manchester. In Argentina, Brazil and Spain she's the equivalent of Cheryl Cole or Victoria Becks over here. In Manchester, maybe no one cared or knew who she was.

zephyr I don't know what the solution is, but the war on drugs ain't it. The jury on that has been in for a long, long time. I supsect the real reason the war on drugs continues is because it provides jobs to law inforcement, the judical and penal system for starters, also the associated equipment manufacturers, dog training, weapons, etc. All of these costs are socialized of course, except the costs covered by asset forfeiture which is essentially legalized robbery of citizens. This is all more evidence of how dysfunctional our society has become. The statistics tell the story, but are facts and stats important any longer when it comes to setting and changing policies? http://wvouzbs.com vhkbiduizn [link=http://icgrvkjj.com]icgrvkjj[/link]

ProWife There is a great book on line called maujriana is safer. The preface is a free download online and is well worth reading in itself. It is written by a retired chief of police. The crux his message is that alcohol is far more dangerous than maujriana. Common sense tells you that if something safer was to be placed on the free market, the demand for the more dangerous would go down. If legalizing maujriana would reduce alcohol consumption, the result would be lives saved, less domestic violence, less tax money being spent on a hypocritical war.

A formidable share, I just given this onto a coauelgle who was doing a little evaluation on this. And he actually bought me breakfast as a result of I discovered it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the deal with! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to debate this, I feel strongly about it and love studying extra on this topic. If doable, as you turn out to be experience, would you thoughts updating your weblog with more details? It's extremely useful for me. Big thumb up for this weblog publish! http://irghhjk.com pfhafhudhp [link=http://onvifc.com]onvifc[/link]
