Soccerclips' Goals of the Week
10. Giorgios Samaras, Celtic (view goal here)
Shaun Maloney caps off his return to the green-and-white half of Glasgow in style. A picture perfect display of one-touch football between Samaras and Maloney, capped off by a pretty back heel from Maloney and a strong finish from the Greek striker.

9. Ruben de la Red, Real Madrid (view goal here)
The Real youngster wows the Bernabeu crowd with a terrific solo effort. Gaining possession in the center circle, he ran headlong toward goal before unleashing a looping shot from well outside the box which the keeper could do very little to prevent from going past him and into the net.
8. Marek Jankulovski, Czech Republic (view goal here)
Always a danger from the set-piece, Jankulovski lives up to his billing with his effort against England. His ball had the right height, the right bend, and the right speed as it unfurled into the top left corner and made a bronze statue out of David James, the England keeper.
7. Mido, Middlesbrough (view goal here)
The Egyptian international opens up the scoring at Anfield with a brilliant effort from 25 yards out. Mido collects the ball from the right and uncorks a powerful left-footed shot into the bottom right corner, leaving the Liverpool faithful stunned. More to come from this match...
6. Stéphane Sessegnon, PSG (view goal here)
The Benin midfielder connects with a pass from the right hand side and unleashes a TGV-like shot from just outside the box. The keeper is left with no chance as the ball whizzes right by him and into the top left corner.
5. Xavi, Spain (view goal here) - Fresh off his award-winning performance at Euro 2008, Xavi graces the stage yet again for the Spanish NT with this effort. After receiving the pass and evading his marker, the Barca man fires a shot past the reach of the Danish keeper and doubles the Spaniards' lead.
4. Steven Gerrard, Liverpool (view goal here)
Another in a long line of last-minute heroics from the mercurial Liverpool captain. With the final whistle fast approaching, Gerrard pounces on a loose ball and promptly drives in the back of the net to give the Reds a late victory.

Gerrard: To the rescue yet again
3. Sidney Govou, France (view goal here)
Another goal involving a sublime piece of skill in the build-up. Thierry Henry collects the ball near the touchline, does an outrageous floating back heel pass onto the path of Govou, who does the rest of the work (albeit via a deflection).
2. Henrik Larsson, Sweden (view goal here)
The living proof that class is indeed permanent, Larsson puts on another display of his innate goal-scoring abilities against France. He meets Källström's cross from the right with a perfect volley with his right foot, resulting in an early 1-0 lead against Raymond Domenech's side.
1. Angel di Maria, Argentina (view goal here)
The Olympic gold medal winning goal for the Argentinian side, and what a beauty it was. After being released down the left flank by Messi, di Maria spots Ambruse Vanzekin far off his line and lofts an exquistive lob over the helpless keeper for the only goal of the match. The sheer importance of this goal, however, makes it this week's Soccerclips Goal of the Week.

Angel di Maria: A hero is born
